Gravatar I'm sure some of the tree cutting in Saanich was to allow for view. That said, I am very much in favour of preserving trees and other vegetation. If the township would assign certain areas for residential, and stick to that limitation come high water, I would support them in a wink. When they reach saturation in the alloted areas, they simply have no choice but to build upwards. How else can we put a stop to ruining our natural lands, other than curbing all imigration, and enforcing birth control? That sounds a bit final and even ruthless, but eventually something has to give, or nature will be lost.
