Graham is all talk in this case and no action. It would be interesting to see Harper call his bluff at this point, with the Liberals deeply in debt and leaderless....maybe Graham wants to fight an election under those conditions! It would certainly be fair game after the Liberals calling an election before the newly rejoined Conservatives could get organized.
I agree. But don't forget stranger things have happened. Remember when Joe Clark's Conservatives were suddenly defeated and Trudeau who said he was resigning suddenly came back from the proverbial dead to win the next snap election.
The big difference between the two is who made/will make the mistake. Joe (the Government) blew it because he couldn't count heads in the Chambers and didn't have enough bodies to support his motion. For Graham (opposition) to blow it he needs to have too many bodies in the Chambers AND HAVE THEM ALL VOTE. It is relatively easy for Graham to have a member or two step out in the middle of a confidence vote to avoid defeating the government, it is a lot harder (okay impossible) to have a government member jump on a plane to reach the House in time once the vote has been called.
As for Martin coming back for an election, Harper could only dream of a scenario that sweet happening.

As I said, this is simply empty-headed scare-mongering, it seems clear to me that the opposition will give in rather than force another election so soon.
Scare mongering? Keep them on their toes, keep them honest.
It makes you wonder if the flaming Liberals still think they are entitled to run Canada. Harper should tell them where to get off.
