Interesting comment. LFP columns often reflect a more Liberal slant than a nuetral one, but I agree that Presto may very well show us what he's made of if he becomes the premiere of Alberta.
This Editor is not neutral but appeciates astute and concientious leadership and leaders and by any member of any party. Preston Manning is an astute leader that should be back in power. essentially there is a leadership vacumn in Canadian politics yet now. I'm sorry, but Stephen Harper has not impressed me as a leader yet. He may, but I am not holding my breath. Hope that clarifies my position.
Gotta agree with LFP here, Manning would make a tremendous Premiere. I would love to see how a thoughtful, policy-driven populist deals with the health care issue.
I'm not one for mixing my politics with religion, but Preston does it better than most and would have my vote in a second if he were on the ballot.
Where have all the Leaders gone?
Too bad Klein has to go the way it has turned out, but Preston looks to be someone who would spend more selectively, and therefore might put to rest some of the griping.
