Senate reform has to be an all-or-nothing affair.

The current Senate is massively unrepresentative in that the Maritime provinces are way over-represented and the West horribly underrepresented. All that voting in Senators will do is make them feel relevant and make them want to make decisions and block decisions from the House of Commons. Not a good idea in my mind.
