Methinks and Me Me Me, imagine if the City of Vancouver tried to fly a preliminary trail balloon 78% budget increase over a 10 year period. All the Vancouver Papers would certainly roast the Politicians long and hard on their audacity to promote/suggest such a large tax & spend financial plan burden. And their well read taxpayers would then tar & feather the politicos they elected! |

The publishers of the local papers have a duty to realise what you say above LFP. They can learn now, or wait until competing publications begin to report more responsibly. I think that readership would improve as well if the local rags would show an inclination towards real investigative reporting. The Langley Advance News would have the most to gain in my opinion. The Mcloud Park blob of cement would be a good place to start. The Redwoods history would be another. They both reek. |
