It's about time, this mayor and his slate need to have their collective feet held to the fire.

The mind boggles at how timely a focused ratepayers group is and the possiblity of what they can accomplish! Far overdue! It's been lonely as the only dissenting and questioning voice in the wilderness!

It is about time, but I must add that the last election brought out issues of the past that were very similar to what the Alberts group is still doing.
Glen Tomlin fed it to the electorate clearly and in in plain English, but to no avail, and he lost badly. Maybe this time around, things will be different.

Great, now we can have checks and balances on Cllr. Richter as well. I understand from the agenda, she had a 'Notice of Motion' which was effectively to apply a 'TAX' yes a 'TAX' to every person using the Langley airport and the money raised would go in to the Township coffers. Oops, methinks this was a mistake, not at all, she actually wanted to 'TAX' the airport passenger traffic and the rest of council saw through this and I understand from my sources did not second this 'Notice of Motion'. This is not the first time council has NOT SUPPORTED her let's tax this or that. Way to go to the seven others who saw through this on behalf of us TAXPAYERS!

Is this a group that is idealogically opposed to public services or one that is more concerned with value for money?
We are all for value for money, but too often this kind of group is short sighted and mean spirited.
I am concerned that this could lead to insufficient funds for long term development plans, public spaces, sports, arts and heritage facilities. I for one have no interest living in a community where private corporations dictate our lifestyle choices because the elected government doesn't have the balls or the funds to offer an alternative vision.
