Rumour has it that some youth gangs are related to and used by seperate adult established gangs.

Peterson Road Elementary has also fell victim to an estimated 120,000.00 worth of vandalism in the last month. I thought the City had finally come around to paying up for the RCMP they require. If we only had one council the squabble wouldn't exist. There would be less money spent on politicians where the council could pay for police officers instead. I wonder if this is an off shoot of the Gambling permitted in close vicinity of all this? Or as Stop gangs says that the organization is here and only now using youth to do the dirty work?

Translink's pathetic bus routes to Aldergrove certainly dosn't help Aldergrove youth spread their wings outside of Aldergrove. They end up walking the street in packs.
The last bus to aldergrove from the city or even colossos theatre is at 10:38 pm on week nights and they only come hourly! No way they can see a 9 pm movie or even a 7 pm movie perhaps.
I wrote about the 'deprived secluded Alcatraz island environment' due to the inadequate transit before at, http://www.kimrichter.com/Blog/2...-be-
called.html
Not to mention that Translink won't even consider any type of rail transit for 20 years! Not to mention also hare brained ideas to provide rail north-south instead up 200th instead of east-west on the fraser highway!

If gangs are involved watch out for retaliation in the community. It may not be over!

The local, regional, national and international single entry hits to just our one posting on this gang incident is 947 and still climbing! Also lots of north american media outlet hits too. At this rate it could very well be way more than double as the inquiries keep coming in! The power of google! Apparently this hit a big nerve as the google search engine for '856 gang' leads to our posting & site. About 15-18 % are from the Langley area itself. After viewing this they are scouring the rest of our LFP site's postings as well! The server almost feels violated at this point!!!
This 856 gang is getting way more publicity than they obviously deserve! Hopefully the next briefing will state that 856 is no more.
Obviously it hit a big tender nerve! Let's all hope the police resolve this issue quickly and no one else is hurt. Langley does not need this type of PR!

The simple solution is to legalize Marijuana! It's HIGH TIME. It would also end our high policing costs, cut most of the gang related crime and solve our governments cash problem. Especially it would solve Langley Township's Tax, Borrow & Spend addiction! Face it Langley's biggest producing ALR & grow ops crops are illegal right now!

The simple solution ( according to the LFP Editor) is;
1. legalize weed
2. don't tax, don't borrow and don't spend.
3. Amalagamate the City and Township.
4. If you can't amalgamate the two then move to the CITY - life is better with Saint Peter.
5. Kim Richter for Mayor, Premier and Prime Minister
Hum what a fun, fun, fun place to live. I think there are cities and countries run like that now, fortunately they are all in other parts of the world.
LFP Editor one day wake up, smell the roses and realize there are no SIMPLE SOLUTIONS!

With it, there are simple solutions, but the law and the courts prevent implementation.

'With it' you finally see the light! But you are pushing the envelope a tad with premier and prime minister though. Nice thought though. Finally you have come around and I thought that you were just a pathetic vemon spewing 'Langley Township Council ole boys club paramour or worse, ole boy councillor!
Better Richter for Mayor than Neophyte wannabees like Fox & Bateman! Could you imagine how many more thousands of websites Bateman would be hosting if he were Mayor! He would not have time to cut any ribbons! Fox as Mayor would be cool. He would probably bring back the strap and have council stay after school & write on the chalkboard after the meetings, I will not QUESTION THE MAYOR... repetively hundreds of times!
BTW, The ongoing BIG rumour is that Fox & Bateman are the newest tag team on council. Must be because they both lucked in together at the same election as rookies. Or is it because they both vote in unison for big Tax, Spend & Borrow items? Can you confirm this 'With it'?
But With It to stay on topic the issue clearly are the courts and sentences for these gun toting slingers. They are to slow, too lenient. Anyone with a handgun should be put away and the key should also be thrown away! Where is our MP WARAWA on this. He should be screaming loudly. Where are the NEW conservatives hard hitting crime & punishment laws they promised?

Considering that the ALR is not deemed as precious as before and more affordable housing seems to be gaining traction. Maybe the grow-op problems will move on or disappear. Or maybe the new affordable housing will bring in more house operations and higher electricity use. It is not only our legal system that needs reconfiguration but the whole governmental system. With all the raises that are going around, is there not something wrong with this picture. There is many communities not receiving health care, emergency services and closing schools that are needed yet their MLAs,Councils and Boards are receiving raises.
