Thank gawd their trailer doesn't say -'Bring Cllr. Bateman's Streetcars to Langley' !!!! At $50 to $100 million for a small streetcar run in Langley, any talk about streetcars will mean we would never get any light rail transit back bone through the south Fraser valley. What we really desperately need! Thank You VALTAC.
Unrealistic pipe dreams are a big waste of time and divert our attention from our real transit needs. But maybe thats the real agenda here? Cloud the important agendas?
Streetcars would be installed in Vancouver urban areas way, way before rural ole Langley. We need realists not dreamers nor headline grabbing politicians with too much political ambition preaching self serving wish lists.

Very professional and well done VALTAC. Congratulations. Definitely the ones to listen to and to work with to get passenger rail south of the Fraser. For heaven's sake,I agree, don't ever get politically side tracked into advocating ridiculous $50 to $100 million dollar streetcars up 200th street and into only Langley city like the Liberals and their political pilot fish hope. This transparent diversionary tactic won't work with VALTAC fighting for the really important issues. Bringing community rail back to the Fraser Valley!

I agree that it was a great job by VALTAC, however, I was a little disappointed with the turnout. I don't understand this when everyone you talk to is pro rail, but there just seems to be a lukewarm effort by these same people to give it the support it deserves.
Queenie, the low turnout is a reflection of the attitude of people who know what they want, but prefer to let other people do it. It's very likely that VALTAC and the other groups have the same problem getting active members in their organisation.
