It would appear that this is premature: the advertisement to the event was a first draft, and JB has since decided not to hold the raffle: Just to address several comments here...
From LP:
The invite posted here is now out of date. Sam and I were thinking about a raffle (which we would have only done if we had been issued a licence), but decided after this rendition of the invitation that a modest auction would be a better fit for what we have planned.

The problem is you can't advertise before you have a license, which is what posting on a website is. And you can't decide not to go ahead with a raffle once you have a license, without permission. Those are the rules for everyone.
Why would anyone consider a political support group an eligible charity that would qualify for a raffle license?

Let me get this right Jordan, gambling at one of the best Martini bars in town. Does this sound like a casino to you? On Monday Councillor Jordan Bateman voted agianst gambling at the council meeting, then this raffle fundraiser suddenly comes up... is he taking crazy pills??
Oh yeah and lets bring in the former Solictor General, you know the guy that issues casino lisences to be the guest speaker? What is this Chicago in the 1930's, Al Capone would be jealous.
1)Does this bar know whats happening?
2)Does Rich Coleman know what's happening?
3) Does the poor saps that ponied up $60 know whats happening.
Do the right thing Jordan, cancel the event and return every undisclosed dollar to these developers. Let Rich Coleman off the hook. No wonder Jordan is the architect of Langley highest tax increase in historybecause in my opinion I seriously question his ability to look after the dollars.
Mr. Coleman please stay out of municipal politics.

Is this Bateman & Colemans idea of truth in advertising? Sell raffle tickets then don't have the raffle, scammy or what?

No it was a spelling error! Bateman meant to promote Waffles being served not a Raffle. Spend $60 and watch Rich Coleman & Jordan Bateman waffle on the issues. Good work Jordan 2 birds with 1 stone. What else is on the menu Crow?
