I was dismayed when all of the sudden after the one vote Steve Burton declared that the meeting was adjorned. There were still 8 more recommendations to go through, however he took it upon himself to adjorn the meeting and end the meeting like so. I was not the only one surprised, there were three Trustees that were as well.

I find it sad state of affairs. The only good thing that can come out over this whole ordeal is that the next election, (next year), will hopefully have a dramatic increase in voters. There is a lot of people that are unhappy with the actions of the current School Board Trustees.

Trustee Cody had left in tears, after being asked questions by the media as to what happened at the meeting. As the meeting abrubtly ended.

At least we finally know the outcome of the vote now. Now I can make plans to move my kids from this school area. We are the fortunate to be able to do so. I know some families that are too poor to do anything but go along with what the Trustees put forth.

It is sad, the friendships that my daughter has built up over the years and now my son is forming friendships being at Blacklock these are now being torn asunder by 4 Trustees. I actually think it is just the one Trustee and the other three are lemmings. But that is my opinion, and I am allowed that.

I have lost faith in the Trustees long ago. They voted accordingly, as I knew they would. Why upset the Status Quo. Why go against the Almighty Steve Burton?

To me it is obvious answer. Steve Burton cannot make the voters vote for him and the three other Trustees. We will not forget, or forgive. We will now bide our time, wait for the election time, and use our vote to show how displeased we are with his regime.
