Gravatar I agree there is palpable frustration as a City voter not having a full democratic voice for seats on the school board.
However, it is another matter regarding full amalgamation between the Langleys.

If this option is looked at then all option(s) and ramifications need to be looked at: these include a full Metro City of Surrey or a merge with Metro Vancouver.
If the major concern is cost and duplicity between districts then all options need to be discussed.

I have not seen enough evidence to support amalgamation as a win/win for all parties.

Just keeping in mind sometimes one should watch what they ask for..........

Gravatar This is one issue where Susan and I definitely are in agreement. However, I wonder if some city residents would be fearful of a united effort in the much more populous township. The township could, if it wished, ensure no city on the Ed Board. Under the current system, the city is guaranteed its voice, albeit a minority voice every time.
