The public must demand and get complete answers as to why the Dickson Pit ad notice was placed only in the Aldergrove Star and not in any of the other two Langley papers which serves the actual North/Ft. Langley community area. This is highly unusual, irregular and very suspect.
Was this intentional or in indeed in error? Or was it politically intended, an adminisistration mistake or a newspaper mistake? The public must know even if an inquiry is required on this latest on Township council's alarming and questionable land deals.
Either way the explanation should be complete and forthcoming and NOW without delay and without any more clouding of this issue by this Mayor Alberts 'good ole boys club' slate on township council. This is unacceptable. WE SHOULD DEMAND DEFINITIVE NAMES AND ANSWERS and reject any more bureaucratic BS.
It stinks in any event in this Editor's opinion and in any case, because the ad was also only placed just before Xmas on the 21st and 28th of December, the busiest time of year! Was this perhaps to best hide any dramatic and questionable political initiatives by this 'Good ole boys club' Township council? The taxpayers should demand complete, thorough and immediate answers now.
Comments like I don't know how this happened by this Mayor & council & administration just don't cut it anymore and are totally unacceptable. How often does this occur anyhow that we never even find out about at all?
In any and all events HEAD(S) MUST ROLL on this in this Editor's opinion. Many others's that I have spoken to in the Langleys agree as well. Most especially heads must roll on the 'Good Ole boys Club' Mayor Alberts township council slate. Enough is enough!
Langley Township Council needs a change. Even the two newest Councillors elected in the last election in this Editors opinion have very sadly joined the 'Good ole boys club' establishment elite and are now part of this big problem as well in my opinion as they constantly vote along on these suspect or questionable deals and decisions.
When asked who should be unelected by Township Taxpayers, I tell them its really very easy. The only existing council member that I suggest to vote for is the solitary female on Township Council, Kim Richter. The rest of the "GOOD OLE BOYS CLUB" should be kicked out on their ears. CLEAN (Township Council) HOUSE in November!

Baker should really know more about the legal aspects than anyone, considering his experience. Bakken's reasoning regarding the legality of putting the announcment in a low circulation and remote newspaper seems like it might have beem well thought out before hand, in my opinion. So who's right?
It sounds like someone has to challenge this sale in the courts to undo it if Baker is correct, but who's got the money or the personal reason to do so? It looks to me like Alberts the Cagey One, has done it to us again. How many more of these can we take in the next ten months or so?
More importantly, how many more can we afford? Will he be asking for a big tax hike again to pay for the folly of his costly boondogles, and the poor return on the sale of assets?
I have an uncomfortable feeling that he will be into us again for more tax money.
When I read the Dickson Pit sale time line in the Langley Advance (front page Jan 11th Edition) this just seems more bizarre than ever..............

That's OK, it was all spelled out in the local newspaper, anyone with 2 eyes can read and figure it out for themselves. It doesn't take too much grey matter to figure out the rest of this.
