This motion shows that at least one council member wishes integrity placed back into the process. Bravo to Kim.
Kim's motion is plain common sense. Watching these duty shirkers dance now will be entertaining.
Frank Bucholz was pretty adamant in his 'we say' editorial, that it was most important for this motion of Kim's to pass. I hope he holds Kurt and the shirkers feet to the fire on this one. I'd just love to see them squirm on this.

According to the Council Minutes, Councillor Richter's Motion for Open, Fair and Transparent Municipal Land Sales was Seconded by Councillor Ward. The motion was then referred to staff to review the Township’s land management process and carried with Councillor Long and Richter opposed.

As for her motion from this week: Whereas the Township’s land disposition processes need to ensure public transparency; Therefore be it resolved that a moratorium be placed on all Township land dispositions until after the next municipal election in November 2008; and That a review of the land disposition process be one of the first orders of business for the newly elected Council.
Well, that motion essentially says that Councillor’s should admit that they can’t do their job and therefore should sit on their hands until the next election. I’m not sure what sort of elected official would ever pass that sort of motion?
Sorry Blair that is the motion that I was referring to. I guess you said it all and correctely so in your summary retort about the motion to hold off on any more land sales until after November's election:
