Bateman is again plugging his thinly veiled partisan Campbell Liberal transportation mouthpiece website again on his site when he says his friends at the website (he is its editor isn't he?!) are pleased with Translink! I guess he would say that! Obviously shame or truth is not an issue at all about what this Lib propoganda website really is all about, promoting Liberal transportation initiatives, no maatter what they are.

The flooding should not come as a surpeise IMO, because I can remember
long ago when thigs could get more than a little moist to the north of the old pit, and that was before High Point altered the landscape.
In my opinion the High Point developers have experienced good cooperation from the township right from the get-go. Personally I had no objection to that, considering the investment that the developer was faced with when putting in water and sewage facilities, and after all it looks like it will be a nice community to live in.
The point where I lost respect for the township's actions was when they ceded a large chunk of land to High Point that was reserved to complete 200th Street right through to Zero Avenue (right of way). Had that giveaway not occured, 200th Street could have gone right from the U.S. border all the way to the Golden Ears Bridge. Therefore our transportation network no longer has an asset that could have been an important north/south artery at some time in the future. We may regret this generous donation one day.
More recently while I was rattling my bones along Zero Avenue, I noticed a broad entranceway exiting High Point onto Zero Ave. There is a temporary barrier across it at the moment for reasons unknown. My question is whether this will be a private access road for High Point residents only, or will the public be able to pass through the development going north or south to and from 200th Street? I really don't know the answer, but I fear that it will be closed to all but High point residents. If I am wrong, perhaps someone can clarify this.
