I think it was put in place to give individuals 'choices'. Ha...some choice! There's always going to be scammers aound waiting for an opportunity to get another victim. Terasen works for me.

People who got protected a year ago are now sitting pretty. Gas is now over "$7-$8" per GJ so those experts are wrong.

Marketers are offering rates $10-11 now. In the Vancouver Sun, the price of natural gas is now at $12 and rising (don't believe? take a look).

The problem is most people do not think long-term.

Price of natural gas is now around $12. Don't believe it? Check the papers. Marketers are now going around with rates of $10-$11. Good luck getting a rate of $9.74 for five years.

The problem is most people think it is a scam when they just do not think long-term.

It doesn't matter which way you go, it is a gamble. If you go with a long-term rate, you could end up paying more ..with Terasen you pay the market rate. Who knows?

My money is on the fixed rate: it comes direct, with no middleman and I like kmowing what I will pay ahead of time: $11.78/GJ is a good rate right now, even though market is $9, it'll go way beyond that; I have this for 5 years
