It's pretty sad when you can't tell any difference between Township Councillor Grant Ward and MLA Mary Polak....zzzzzzzzzz......!

Sadly WRC, this editor over two years ago (Jan 25, 2006) wrote a posting about the dangers of youth working alone at gas stations and the like and the need for improving their safety especially after a local tragedy. This Editor even wrote a direct & rare LFP EDITOR email directly to MLA Mary Polak asking her to champion the issue for her benefit and our youth.

Link for letter/previous posting is here>>>> http://www.kimrichter.com/Blog/2...work- alone.html

Never heard boo from her nor am I aware that she did anything at all to improve the situation. Now almost two years later the Govt. thru WCB has provided this added safety and to the best of my knowledge she certainly did not bite on the issue, did not lead on the issue, and simply I guess followed along with her peers and dutifully & quietly probably voted for it from way.... baaaa..ck on the back bench!

Time to speak up for your constituents Mary! Take a chance! Break thru the Glass ceiling! Definitely change your jb press agent, NOW ! Make us proud! This Editor still has great hope for you Mary but the sand is starting to run out of the hourglass, fast! The recent local newsrags critical letters to the Editor are only a subtle warning of the strong undertow of concern that could sweep you away!

Polak could definitely be at risk in her riding which is certainly not as right wing conservative safe as Coleman's is. A good formula of her proven lack of performance, self serving and costly ads and a solid (well recognized) NDP candidate that can capture the community's imnagination and she could be outed from politics. If not this election, definitely in the next.

It's interesting to note that when Mary Polak was running for office on her first term. she made strong statements that she was keen about transportation improvements in Langley. Search as I may, I have seen no evidence that anything of her doing has improved our worsening transportation nightmare.

What gives?

H.D. Stafford is in Mary Polak's riding and yet not one peep of support or any comments about our school's issues. Education is within a provincial MLA's job purvue. Not one peep from her on this at all asa far as I know.

I know where Mary Polak will be on

Sunday, March 9

Langley MLA Mary Polak will be featured on Constituency Report on Shaw Cable 4 in the Lower Mainland from 8:30-9:00am and from 5:30-6:00pm

Next Public School Board Meeting is on March 27 a Thursday NOT a Tuesday.
7:30 pm Langley School Board Office.

'Langley RCMP say mental health issues drain police resources' in today's Langley Times! http://www.bclocalnews.com/surre...s/ 16362841.html

Between the people who have mental health issues and drug addicts, it's a wonder the RCMP have any time left on their hands. Some would say that the two catagories could be lumped into one. I would agree.
