Anon, he also didn't get into the lease term of 40 years to any length, which is two generations from now! The length of the lease MIGHT be rationally explained away because of the investment of the lessee, but the cap on increases could be a burden on our grandchildren and in some cases their kids as well.

Forty years from now, will we be in a position of subsidizing airport tenants as we get 5% increases nailed onto our property taxes in what now looks like a yearly event? Is the desire to embarrass Councilor Richter affecting the judgment of others at council?
