So where were our new councilors Charly Fox and Jordan Bateman on this? They both said they would listen to us the taxpayers. I guess not. Why not?

As a Taxpayer DON'T YOU think it was an issue important enough for the good ole boys on Township Council to at least second and discuss? Your right this ole boys club does not listen well if at all to it's own taxpayers. Shameful isn't it? Langley Community Service and now our own taxpayers! But barking stray dogs get a million $ dollar plus over budget home!

Gravatar Langley politicians should really start asking who runs the show. I don't think our current council does this. I don't even think they know what questions to ask. It's time for all of them to retire starting with the current Mayor , most of the council (and followed very closely with the current senior administrators).

Gravatar We need another local paper desperately. LFP should go to print asap before the next election. The lack of local paper insight to Langley council activities is criminal.

Gravatar Interesting that you should mention that Anon!

Gravatar Mr. McTaggart's increase is almost 50%!!! If there has not been any change in his assessment, township staff has to look at this IMO. As a matter of fact, I would be surprised if they haven't quietly reviewed his case.

Gravatar My taxes went up $700 over the last year Not as bad as his but still bad. Does anybody on council pay taxes at all or do they all rent? Boot them all.

Gravatar "Does anybody on council pay taxes at all or do they all rent?"

Hey, let's not slag renters. Renters not only pay for the landlords expenses (maintenance, mortgage and taxes) but also pay for their profit margin.

A tax increase for landlords filters down to the renter.
