The school board NOT SO Fantastic 4 should do the exact opposite of creating middle schools. They should create k to 8 mid schools as reported by Time Magazine.

This should be about getting better learning results and not about creating mammouth inpersonal high schools. The now traditional provincial government's cost saving measures of creating super hospitals and super liquor stores thus shutting down smaller ones, may save some money but should not be emulated by Langley School Board. It's about proper education results not fiscal bottom line results. Put the kids first or resign!

Just a note of Thanks & UPDATE about LFP.
Thank you for reading and contributing! For instance, 2 months ago our monthly readership went up 54% in one month in unique visits with a corresponding 59% growth in page views in just one month over the last month's average! (Page views are around 2 to 3 page views per visit.)

That growth of last months increase has compounded again as of this last day in October by growing an additional 24% in unique visits with a 30% growth in page views as well!

So essentially in two months our overall readership has doubled! Wow! Our hit & page view count graphs are remaining almost vertical, straight up!

We are now getting closer to our second anniversary on line thanks to Kim, Muriel, Cathleen and Susan who are the talented, knowledgable and just all round great contributing columnists/critics that have made LFP the success it is now. Not to mention they are ardent and community minded people who care about Langley First!

A few vocal detractors cackled a year and a half ago saying we would not last more than a few months! To them I say , sorry to disappoint you, NOT! Perhaps we have grown because LFP "irreverently chronicles all of the political news and gossip in Langley. Provides articles, interviews and news." This banner descriptor was used right up until the last election by another and then suddenly dropped. Clearly we were the only Langley media outlet that you could count on to pick up the irreverance mantle!

We will continue to challenge the establishment and not sell out to them!

Most importantly LFP has seen this exponential growth with close to 70% of all our readers coming from the immediate local area! That is our focus and mission!

Our commenters are still a select few with dramatic and inconsistent spikes and valleys but most importantly the readership has grown and continues to grow exponentially! Thanks all.
