IT APPEARS THAT MAYOR ALBERTS CONSISTENT GO TO PRESS AGENT STILL IS THE LANGLEY TIMES EDITOR IN MY OPINION. I DISAGREE WITH YOU LFP. I DON'T SEE HIM YET QUESTIONING ANYTHING MAYOR ALBERTS DOES. OBVIOUSLY RICHTER'S LETTER HIT HOME AND NOW ALBERTS IS CIRCLING HIS WAGONS AGAIN USING THE TIMES EDITOR JUST LIKE WHEN HE AGAIN IN MY OPINION SEEMINGLY HELPED DEFEND HIS BOGUS ADVISORY COMMITTEE ADS BY BEING VERY SOFT IN ANY CRITICISM. I BELIEVE THAT HE DEFINITLY HAS HIS EAR. THE TIMES EDITORIAL LINES TODAY SMELL LIKE ALBERTS ELECTION MATERIAL PROPOGANDA THAT HAS BEEN SPOON FED SUCCESSFULLY.

Oh how the mighty have fallen.....prediction 101 Richter and her slate will elect one person again...not her! Just too negative all the time....I guess you learn that in business school.

I think that Langley residents are starting to realise that the township needs a mayor with more than a silvery tongue and a bit of charm. I'm hoping that a few councilors will be swept out along with Alberts in November as well. There's more to their job than showing up for meeting without understanding the issues. The recent last minute turnaround regarding well water metering illustrates how close they came to a costly mess, simply because they didn't look into the issue deeply enough. They were selling it hard too.

Who really won this pre-election round? Richter gets her articulate, simple, well thought out and reasonable message out to the public that gets the voters even more riled up and thinking.
Meanwhile everyone else doth protest too much her points with even the Mayor saying, No I Do Not Have a Slate! (very reminescent in fact of Prez. Nixon saying,"I am not a xxxxx")!
Even the establishment Press (who by the way obviously are worried about their grossly enormous $500,000 or so annual Township Taxpayer paid newspaper pages revenue being drastically cut by Richter if she becomes Mayor!)are backing Mayor Alberts weak argument with their even more weaker arguments.
The local paper Editors are so intense that they come across as desperate, irrational, certainly partisan and far too personal in attacking Richter!
In their haste this ruling political/press coalition establishment are all in fact building Richter's reputation as the people's champion even more so by being so stupid to be attacking the popular people's underdog in the poeple's minds.
So I declare that the current score in this game is Team Richter 1 and Team Alberts 0.

Alberts letter in the times claiming that he did not run a slate was good for a laugh, but it also shows that he can't discriminate between a slate and a group that he endorsed to run under his flag. Oh my!
Come November, I'm wondering if any of those same people will want his endorsement. With every passing week our charming mayor looks more like a Tar Baby, and getting too close to him will not be wise.

Hey, LFP editor, did you attend the Library renaming ceremony today at Township Hall? I couldn't skip work, so no show for me.
