So how is it that when previous City Mayor Marlene Grinnell was on the translink board before current Township Mayor Alberts that the city got translink subsidized road improvements all over the city as well as the massive overpass on a non translink road! The city always got expanded bus routes and timing increases as well. Under Mayor Alberts on the translink board all we get is a translink rep recently telling us we won't get anything at all for a very long time!
Just another example of how the Township residents and most especially the rural residents pay ever increasing taxes and still get ever inferior or no services.

My children have chosen to use a vehicle instead just for the very reasons mentioned in letter.
With the school board wishing to coordinate school schedules between secondary schools (Aldergrove and D.W.Poppy). They should take note of this for the Transit system is lacking. There were also concerns for the Langley Education Center students in this matter. The Board did not seem to think they should be worried at all. I think all elected officials (MLAs, School Board Trustees, and Translink evaluation committee members) should take the public transit for a month.
If this type of service is the norm then the School board has made decisions; that according to this story may very well have put students at risk. Especially if Translink has no replacement buses when one breaks down.

We need a new depot in Langley for better service. How about putting it next to the new Willoughby facility?
