The goings on at "In camera" meetings need to be scrutinized more carfully. I can understand personel matters being discussed, as well as any other matters that are simply none of the public's business, but expenditures for assets and services etc. should be open for the public to comment on, before they are concluded. The offer to buy the Bedford House (or any such asset)should have a condition clause that requires the normal motions and readings at open council meetings so that the public can comment before conclusion. I smell a fish here, and once again Kurt is holding the rod. |

Curious, why is Fort Langley getting all the advantages of land purchases especially questionable ones (~$10 million to date), a.k.a. Redwoods Golf Course, now Bedford Restaurant? Any more in Ft. Langley? Land, residents & businesses in other areas of Langley benefitting from the resultant increased taxes to benefit Fort Langley don't get the same treatment. Why? Curious. |
