Yeah, I've seen this sort of stuff. Needless to say, I don't agree. I haven't methodically worked through all their criticism and attempted to refute it, but I find in it significant points of wild mis-representation.
Needless to say, if you're really interested you'll read at least one of his books. This latest, The Great Omission, might be a good place to start. I'm not suggesting everyone has to agree with Willard on every point, but this over-the-top hyper-criticism (complete with warning about the looming evil empire, "the church of Rome") is full of red flags.
Thanks for sharing that---I wondered what you might think. What bothers me, is that some of what they post is true and helps the reader stay "aware" of rising issues, but other elements seem taken out of context, or hyper-critical. We surely do need to use discernment in all things. I'm way behind in my reading, but when I get a chance, I'll read The Great Omission. Appreciate your thoughts, Bob.
