I loved Mike's fable!
That's awesome. (I love the cell phone!!) I've always wondered about the perks vs. the downsides of homeschooling. One of the biggest struggles/disadvantages I hear about is making sure the kids get enough outside socializing. Can I ask how you tackle that?

Jessi, we're not homeschooling right now, but I really didn't find outside socialization to be a problem when we did. The kids probably have a wider circle of friends now that they're in school and know more people, but it honestly wasn't a problem. In fact, they had some rather unique social experiences (like being the only English speakers in a German circus school!) that they probably wouldn't have gotten had they been in school.
