I think I would have freaked. I got attacked by one, once. At school in Austin, those UT squirrels are brave greedy little buggers and he crawled up my arm and stole a potato chip out of my hand! As I enjoy LOOKING at nature but not necessarily TOUCHING it, I left that area but pronto. Stupid squirrel got ALL my chips, I left so fast....

When I walked the dog a couple nights ago, I saw a squirrel right around the site of the encounter. I must admit I was a little nervous. I hope my squirrel friend doesn't harbor a grudge!
