I concur that swimming photos are tough. My preferred method (which, honestly, I don't employ enough)? Keep shooting lots and lots of pictures -- something will come out. I just discovered that my camera will shoot almost as fast as I press the button if I don't let it preview shots, so I suspect next swim season will be better.

Also -- 10X zoom without image stabilization might be a challenge... consider a monopod?

I like the idea of the monopod, but one reason I stay loyal to little cameras is that I like super portability. I had another chance to practice at today's meet. We'll see how they come out!
