Nice shots! Did you use a telescope or just a telephoto type lense?
On the first one, I used just enough optical zoom to keep everything in the frame with some black border around it. (Notice it looks like an upside-down frowny face?)
On the full moon, I used all of the 12x optical zoom, which I think is something like a 200mm lens on a 35mm camera. Then I used Photoshop Elements to enlarge it several times more, crop it, and apply an auto contrast correction.
