Not just KY! They do it in FL too, although not as much lately. The band boosters used to do it, but I refused to participate and wouldn't let my kids 'beg' for $$$! ....don't get me started on the street preachers! Finally someone with some sense made them leave their children at home when they stand on the corner shouting hell fire and damnation outside the nightclubs. I swear, one day, I'm gonna stand across the street from one of the big churches and start preaching debauchery and wickedness!
No they do it in Central FL to but not every weekend
They definitely do it in Orlando. It makes me sooo mad because there is some little football league on the west side of town that sends their kids out on the street (aged 10-14, maybe) in football uniforms and holding out their helmets. I refuse to support it because it's unsafe and because I'm not 100% sure it's legit because there are no adults in sight. Ugh.
We see it here in VA as well, though less recently than before. It is often the local sports clubs (little league, etc...) as well as the firefighters.
