ps - why am I suddenly thinking of that Far Side "spare armadillo?" cartoon?
yes, running a fleet on a shoestring is a challange. But most of my armada is human powered or broken. So it works. Got out for a few hours with my daughter and friend in the kayaks, and it was great. Even cooked dinner for them upon return. Felt old when I was asked what I was doing later. I said I'll walk the dogs, have a beer and be in bed by eleven. I'm old.
I don't have enough experience either but I could really feel the urge to cross the ocean one of this days it does sounds like an amazing experience
