I just came back "up" from a trip south. I observed the middle lane bullshit as much from NC and SC drivers as I normally do here in PA. Regardless of where you're from, stay in the right lane unless you're passing or letting someone merge! Just sayin'. And I had grits for the first time ever and I LOVED them!
One more thing: the way kids dress is their parents fault for either buying it or letting them out of the house dressed that way or both. Period.
I eat my grits the same way and a big "Bravo" to you for teaching your kids that "sir" and "ma'am" are perfect ways to end a statement.
oh man all this talk about grits and eggs made me hungry. i dont eat grits every day but at least once a week mostly on sunday when i fix em cuz my wife is from california and hates em. california aint got nothing but western yankees anyhow. yes i also do say yes ma'am and no sir (to anyone) cuz thats the way my southern born and raised parents teached me to respect other people.

I lived in NC for a year. i have to agree they are horrible drivers there too. of course they are north of Alabama.
we have three lanes on my morning commute and the slowest dufas always ends up in the middle lane. it is quite annoying.
How did you eat your grits. Hot, cold, butter, eggs ????

My favorite way to eat grits is with american cheese mixed with them, or sometimes instead of cheese I mix in grape jelly! I like them with butter too. Darn I just realized how much I like grits.
