The Boy on Top

Gravatar BoT - any news on the price of this device? I'm in the market for a new phone and/or PDA, and this sounds like it could do just the job.

Not being an IT bod, what would my offices IT function have to do in order to make it work the way you describe (don't want to splash out on kit that IT here can't enable)

Price without an upgrade will be in the £400 range, with an upgrade, depends what package you're on (unlikely to be free though). A good alternative is the latest HP Ipaq, does all this and has built in satnav. Your IT blokes will have to talk to your network provider, but, so long as your firewalls can see your exchange server (do you have webmail), and there on a recent enough version of exchange I understand its pretty trivial to enable. Gravatar Glad to hear the flood damage isn't too bad but oh dear at the lack of builder's insurance! How does that one get sorted then?

The QTek sounds woefully complicated! I rarely use my phone for anything other than phone calls and text messages.

Ask me the question about the flood and insurance next week after I've had 20 odd calls with the various insurers involved... I hate this sort of thing, its never easy... TB

Gravatar Ah. I've had blackberry envy for years now. I'm on the cusp of getting one (a couple short weeks) for work. We'll see.

Good news about the damage. Interesting news about the insurance. Damn builder!

cheers,

They are a thing of the devil, I see a new adiction entering your life... TB
