The Boy on Top

Gravatar In which of these senses are you using the word "chufty"?

Hilarious! None! My Grandma used the word in a completely different sense for something big and mechanically strong. Like "Thats a chufty tractor", or "Ohh, did you see the big chufty train engine dear?". Think it came from steam engines going "chuff chuff chuff". TB

Gravatar Smart decision.

oh just slap me, why don't you.

Ar ar ar... TB

Gravatar Wow, you've had a lot of cars!!

I was allowed to drive my parent's Buick during high school. Didn't have a car for the first year of college, then got a car for $100. Yup, it fell apart in about 4 mo.

Moved onto a toyota tersel, oh, how I loved that little car. My brother traded with me for a shity ford when I moved to Memphis (it supposidly had air conditioning) the car made it to memphis and died.

I now have a Pontiac which lives at my parents house in Montana. I don't know if I'll keep it. I'm hoping to move overseas this winter/spring for who-knows-how long? Good car, though.

But you're well on the way! Give it ten years and tell me how many cars you've had... TB

Gravatar My ex-wife has nice cars...And a nice house...and a well landscaped yard that I did and, oh nevermind...Have a good weekend.

Gravatar I owned a car. When I was 16 (being a good American), sold it when I was 18 and haven't owned a car since (being a bad American). xx, c

I suspect the CIA will have you under investigation for Anti American sentiment. The horror! TB

Gravatar My husband loves old cars. Really old ones. We have a 1928 Rover, a 1936 Rover, a 1956 Morris Minor, a 1959 Morris Minor - which is really our elder son's, he used to drive it to school and a 1960 (or maybe 61) Mini. They only get brought out once in a while, however, they are his darlings.

A man after my own heart! TB

Gravatar Keep the beemer and sell a kid I say!

If only it where so simple! TB

Gravatar Bit late on this, but I assume you are in either a 5 series or and X5?

I had a 5 series about 5 years ago as a company car. I got rid of it after 4 months as I felt like I was driving a tank. I've been in various iterations of the 3 Series ever since.

I cannot for one minute imagine driving a Smart car however... it is not really creating the right impression when turning up to visit potential clients!

Have you tried the new model 5 series? With the 3.5l diesel and sport suspension, handles like a dream. One of my 3 favourite cars. I don't do clients at the moment, so a smart car for the drive to the train station is something my ego can survive (barely...) TB
