It IS cool to be six - not a bloody care in the world...if only!
So now..did anyone eat the veggies?
And I used to love grated cheddar cheese and apricot jam sarnies..together....yummy it was then...I still like cheese with fig jam on crackers.
French kids would be bewildered with jelly...they don't do it here...neither are birthday parties so organised..they sort of hang out and play with the birthday kids toys, maybe do a craft activity and then run wild, even when they are as old as 11!
Mine ate the veggies, plus a bit of everything else. For the rest it was a mixed bag from crisps only to everything and then some. Jelly used to be de-riguer when I was a kid, with mine it only comes out at b-day parties! It is a rather odd pud. Cheese and Jam? Hmm, will try. I like apples and peanut butter which makes LL wrinkle her nose. This was by no means an organised party, other than the fact a bouncy castle had been organsed a lot of wild running was occuring! TB
Ha...cute. On a similar note my 12 year old went to an NBA game Saturday. Afterwards, he and his mom oredered room service food. When you're 12 Room Service is cool as hell. HB to Ali Baba!!
Good for him! The event was a success then? Room service food becomes definately uncool when you've been eating it more than 2 days running... TB
A few years ago my baby sister had a bouncy castle party and my middle sis (now 19) and I were sooo excited as we would be allowed to go on it. We hadn't been on a bouncy castle for at least 5 years.
Do you know how knackering it is!? How the hell we used to play on bouncy castles for hours on end I do not know. I was shattered after an hour.
The inexhaustable energy of kids. I don't know how they do it either. A few times I had to go in to be the traffic cop and even 15 minutes left me worn out! TB

Six is COOL!
My favourite kid quote, "I LOVE being a kid!!!!" screamed by a husky breathed 6 year old. I wish I had had that much appreciation for kid-dom.
Later life has its own benefits, but being that young and fully conscious, but not yet burdened it a damn good time. TB
I can't do bouncy castles. I fall around helplessly. I cannot co-ordinate more than three limbs at a time. It is, doubtless, highly amusing to watch.
