An often-overlooked truth about IT; if it ain't broke, don't fix it, or (more positively), if it works, think very hard before fiddling with it. How often is it true that once you change one thing you end up having to change loads of other things too. Applies at every scale of IT and to both hardware and software.
I do wish there was something better than landfill one could do with the resulting outdated but not broken bits of hardware. Anyone want a Psion 7 and a Revo with lots of peripherals?
Anyhow, why don't you use a Mac?
I am a loyal intel chip guy. My first professional job post uni (other jobs prior to that, but that was using good old cards) was cutting 8086 machine code on the very original first and only IBM PC. I was so excited when I got my hands on the first XT with a real honest to goodness hard drive with 5 MB storage! I love them and I hate them, but I won't change... TB

Ahhh, so if I buy a DHV and supplement with CRV that's not going to work if I monitor BLV, not to mention the havoc TRP is going to cause on my SHR, since the SHRv1 is disproprtional to the SHRv2 and won't interlink half as well as the FFJ which isn't friends with the GFF, not to be confused with the GFFv1..

Precisely! TB

Technology is a strange, annoying thing. I have a monitor. It requires its own power source, so has a cable with a fuse box. That cable mysteriously broke -- on Nov. 8. Only today could we get a replacement. I walked Tottenham Court like a whore. I surfed ebay like a geek. All for naught. Finally, today, I have my home computer back.
Don't you love it though? Could you live without your techno fix? TB
