Do you use video Skype? I was dubious at first, having used corporate video-conferencing a lot and never found it very conducive to communication, but I really like Skype for one-to-one chat with someone you know well. The quality is intermittent, but the kids think it's very funny when the picture suddenly pixellates.
(Don't organise any trips but have one in mind in case you suddenly feel like going out. And why don't you & LL go to Paris with her....she's absolutely bound to be going to Paris for a day or two....).
I've tried Skype for business, haven't yet convinced any of the family to try. We're never organised enough to be at PCs at the right time, ringing to phone to see if someone is there is still easier.
I'd love to take LL to paris, but not this time. Having just been away for two weeks, bagging off for a couple days just isn't in the cards.
