The Boy on Top

Gravatar I think it's a nice looking car alright, but I'm guessing the price might smart a little?

I am always wary of these zero-emission claims though. When you charge it up in the evening, where was the electricity made? Coal? Hydro? Solar?

If someone could offer me a hybrid car like this that I could charge almost exclusively via solar power (say, via panels on my garage roof?) then I would almost certainly buy one.

Cost permitting...

Gravatar Ooops. Just read more of the website. THEY OFFER SOLAR PANELS FOR YOUR GARAGE ROOF!!!

So... how much are we talking here...

Not only that, you can get solar panels for the roof of the car. Keeps it cool when parked, and charges up the battery. We're talking about £40-50K depending on what the exchange rate is in 2010. Perfectly doable my son, perfectly doable! TB

Gravatar Looks great, but too good-looking for me. I couldn't live up to it - not until I'd driven through plenty of muddy puddles, at any rate.

You'd look fine in it, however.

Which I would, of course... Drive though plenty of muddy puddles that it TB

Gravatar Does she tolerate children? And if so, how many at 1 go?

Its a 4 seater! Thus I can deal with childcare emergencies! Every box ticked, I tell you, this is my car... TB

Gravatar Yer can't beat a vintage Bentley for class and style. Cars today have no character. Gimme a Ford Pop any day!

My other ambition is to have an E Type Jag hidden away for sunny weekends without kids. TB

Gravatar I saw that car on the news t'other day. Very very nice. Perhaps that could be my next purchase, to replace my recently sold not-so-eco Rover Metro?

Absolutely. You're about to be a wage slave, so money won't be an issue! Get your deposit down now! TB
