The Boy on Top

Gravatar And all for 4 million pounds....

It wasn't that much, LL promised me she'd keep the costs under 2 million... TB

Gravatar The little buggers get to you in the end.

I'd really miss not having our cat's around and when I go back to my fathers house I still forget the cat we lived with 8 years died serveal years ago. I still expect her to come running when I walk through the door.

We have pet insurance owing to the fact that a large vets bill would do us some financila damage. but also for the fact that wifey had a dag that ended up costing thousands in vets due to an accident on one of her dad's building sites.

I don't think you can get Guini Pig insurance. Yup, they do ge tot you though. TB

Gravatar I refuse to have pets - we did have a budgie once and the mess and noise drove me around the bend....and the thought of vet bills is just too off-putting...so it remains a heratless "NO!"

But jolly good for Tommy. Fancy a g-piggie getting pneumonia!

Exactly. It is appearentlyl not an uncommon complain of guinea pigs. Who knew? TB

Gravatar Oh the joy of pets! It's great having them and teaching children responsibility (read learning how to leave Mum to do all the necessarys!, etc. But unfortunately the time always comes when pet heaven calls. We lost both our fish last week, so had a few tears, but fortunately fish seem easily forgotten!

Heaven help me when the cat goes though!!

Yes, I'm not looking forward to loosing Tommy, which will happen because he is, in the end, a Guinea Pig and doesn't live long! Don't know about the responsibility thing, they need a lot of nagging to clean the cage out... TB

Gravatar Thank God you for the quick update! I would have worried all weekendd about poor little Tommy.

Don't tell the kids that they eat guinea pig in Peru.

Ha! Already told them and shown the pictures of SA Babushka's with wriggling bags. They think its hilarious. Mind you, when I threatened Tommy with the same I got "the glare". TB
