Wow! That's quite incredible! I do love the way that languages work.
I don't mean to sound massively ignorant (although I'm going to), but why not just invent a word for it? Happens in English all the time. It was only today on wikipedia I was reading about "metacrap"?!
Inventing the word is easy, but when you're dealing with people who are relatively uneducated and wouldn't know an atom from a flower, how do you describe the concept of nuclear power? Its a democracy, so you need to educate people to be able to make an informed choice. However, you're starting not only from a point of view of low education levels but also languages that just don't support a conversation about science in any shape or form. Its a real challenge. TB

My Uncle went there at nineteen. He came over several years ago and I took him to my local. He accosted the nice black barman with the immortal line "Oi! kaffir! drinks all round!"
It was weeks before I could show my face in there again!
They're an odd bunch them thar South Africans. I've met some I've liked, and some that just made my head spin. Our MD is all right, but then he's Austrian. We just shipped him down there. TB
