The Boy on Top

Gravatar well, discombobulated doesn't sound fine...hopefully the discombobulation will wear off over the fine weekend ahead!

It is fine, really, just disconcerting, upsetting. I'm a big boy in the big jungle, so life can get rough. This too will pass. TB

Gravatar A reorg? My sisters work in the, ahem, "military-industrial complex", and they are constantly being reorganized. i don't quite understand how playing musical chairs just when people get comfortable with their group is efficient or constructive.

But I guess that's why I'm not in business for anyone but myself!

You have a sister in the military industrial complex? So, are you the black sheep or is she? I'm the black sheep in my family, working in dirty business. I have one sister who's a teacher, another who's a social worker and the third who worked for various charities until deciding to break sexual stereotyping and went into sheet metal bending... TB

Gravatar The easiest way to manage such discombobulation is simply to let it pass you by. Relax, see what happens, then when things have settled, get back in the game.

Ok, it doesn't always work in the real world, but it's nice to dream...

Oh, don't get me wrong. I'm still fully in the game. Its just... well... discombobulating... This too will pass, is passing as we speak! TB

Gravatar Discombobulated is one of my favourite words! I used it once with English colleagues. They looked at me like "What the f*ck???" We looked it up. It's of North American origin.

Is it? Huh. I just grew up with it, almost thought it was just a family word until I found it actually in the dictionary. It is a good word, isn't it? Describes the condition perfectly. TB
