Pickle started nursery today (only 2 days a week). Wifey and I feel it will be good for him to mix with other children.
I got to drop him off this morning and he looked really happy to be there. I'm sitting here think what he's doing right now!
I may have to take inspiration for you post and write about his first day.
Do, and I'm sure he is happy. In the end kids need time with other kids as much and increasinly more than they do with their parents. TB

It's a real rite of passage for parents, when their youngest starts school though. And formal education starts so young now. Dilly finds her non-working friends will be much less flexible now that they have to be back for the end of the school day.
As you say, the children themselves enjoy it!
Its funny, with both LL and I working I'm not sure it has the same impact. Makes a big difference for our nanny though. We've been having long talks about how to fill the days. Its been a tricky negotiation because she wants to stay, but she doesn't want to do cleaning, but is OK with some housekeeper duties. It will be interesting to see how it works out. TB

I remember it too. The smell of the new outfits. The picture in front of the house with my mom on the first days of school (traditionally taken the first three years or so). You've captured the essence well.
It is a special time isn't it? TB
