Blimey! That was some weekend.I bet it's a relief to be back at work.
The thing about all this, is that it's not the last time - far from it - that you'll have a weekend like that. Many more to come. Oh bliss.
And I am glad to hear about the NHS - it's a topic that has come up on another blog too, this weekend. Actually it was a post about the US healthcare - as a result of Michael Moore's film, Sicko. Interesting subject, I'd like to see that film.
The number one reason I'll never live in the states is healthcare. That is a social inequity that is so unjust.
As to more weekends like that, yes, they will come. Nothing like parenting for emotional roller coaster rides eh? TB

"Blimey" was my reaction too. At least (in a forlorn attempt to provide comfort) it happened before the party - just think, if someone else's child had been involved.
On the few occasions our family children have been to A&E, the care has been superb.
I shudder to think what it would be like if it was another's child. Traumatic enough for your own, I'd be mortified if it was a friends. TB

You'll need to get back to work for a rest!
Blimey is the best word for it really! TB

Waht? They didn't set it right then and there? That must be incredibly painful. To wait until Tuesday?
OUCH!!!!!
My sister broker her collarbone and she had some contraption that kept her shoulders up and back.
Really, they didn't set it?
I just can't believe that...
Wait, you didn't say Blimey, so I'm not sure I can respond...
Ahh, I have been googling and researching. The shoulder settee back things actually aren't that effective, or at least no more effective than a simple old sling. The collarbone is very effective at healing itself. Pulling it back causes unecessary pain with no better result believe it or not. So says the latest research anyway. TB

Blimey....oh wait, I was just trying to fit in...
Thanks for visiting my blog, and oh boy am I sorry to hear about your Pirate. When my kids were little, we used to rent those bouncy things, and I optimistically thought nothing could never REALLY happen.
Glad it was just a collarbone though, rather than a head wound, which was always my fear.
You Brits and your lemon things...my mouth is watering. Most birthday cakes in the states are chocolate.
Happy birthday to the Princess!
Good, you paid your dues, you can stay... Thanks for visiting! Quite liked your blog by the way, I'll be back.
I'm actually Canadian, tho the wife is English. My mum used to do the same sort of cake when I was a kid, so its a personal pleasure that LL does em too. It really is very good. She does chocolate too if asked. TB

Poor Pete! Sounds like a pretty raw deal, all for an over-enthusiastic sliding moment...
Many of life's tragedies occur but for a moment's ill attention... TB
