The Boy on Top

Oh yeah, simple is best. You know I'm interested in this kind of stuff (Sad engineer type that I am) so do tell us all about it, post drawings, show load to treatment calculations, the lot!!!!

Will do. It is interesting stuff. TB

Gravatar Interesting. I fitted a filter system in a country house. Goes through beds of sand etc. The water board were up in arms as it would flow into the Avon. When they came to test, the water was cleaner than the river !. I have the chaps number if you are interested.

I would be, thanks. TB

Gravatar Our brick septic tank hasn't been emptied for 26 years and just keeps digesting with no bother. At least the water is being returned to the earth once it's filtered, which is far better than being piped away.

Al and Dilly's modern septic tank has been emptied a couple of times in 20 years, but is still pretty good.

Yes, our current one is older than that, but its given up the ghost. The sludge has hardened, and though it still digests OK, we're starting to get it overflowing, so its got to get replaced. A pain really. TB

Gravatar Funny how some rules apply to so many aspects of life: keep it simple.

Indeed, makes life a bit easier if you manage to remember it... TB
