So you could find out which naughty websites I've been visting???

One tries to keep private, but I did know that Google did this and well, to a certain extent, what can you do?
Quite a bit actually, but it takes a small bit of discipline and a bit of inconvenience.
And... yes... I could find out which websites you've been visiting... TB

People are shockingly trusting. The Sage is less trackable than most, as he doesn't use the internet (I do that for him) and he doesn't have a credit card. He says that a gentleman's cheque should be accepted anywhere... He doesn't receive a salary, and hasn't since 1968. He's probably got a rubbish credit rating, as he's never had a debt in his life.
My life, on the other hand, is only too trackable (not that I've ever been in debt either, of course!)
Actually, a gentleman's cheque is no longer accepted anywhere. The world, she is a changing! I would recommend you both check your credit rating though. So long as you both have a bank account (and if he uses cheques, he does by default), and you've bought insurance (and in the business you're in, you would), you'll have a credit rating. Debt is only one of a large number of factors that is tracked. TB

so the question is - do you know who I really am?
Ha! Back when I first started blogging I took it as a challenge to see if I could figure out who a number of bloggers where. I figured out Thegirlwithaonetrackmind for example well before she got outed (and no I had nothing to do with it). She was actually quite easy. Clarissa over at I Love the Smoke was hard, she's in the business and had covered her tracks well. I didn't find her, but I'd put a time limit on my searches, and I expect I would have if I kept going.
You, no, but that's because I haven't looked. I have to say, you've left enough bread crumbs that I probably could, but I won't. TB

I go where I want when I want.
I've visited porn sites out of curiosity and design - only free ones mind.
I've even searched for child abuse sites 'cause I was one once. I wanted to know what other kids then and now thought. Sometimes the sites weren't there to help. I didn't know 'til I got there. There's some really evil bastards in this world aren't there?
I've been places that'd get me arrested I suppose.
If they do I'll say "Lock me up and mind your own fuckin' business"
They might track me but they'll never know what's inside my head or why 'cause, ultimately, I'll never tell 'em.
These days privacy is inside your head and nowhere else.
Now that is a very true statement! And yes, there are some very evil bastards out there. The internet has made that very visible. TB
I think I've lived too long.

I must admit that I knew I've been leaving tit bits of information here and there - but the people that I keep my blog anonymouse from ie, my employer and anyone else that I may have cause to write about would not, I'm sure have the knowledge to track me.
I was considering 'coming out' when I left my current emplyer, but in hindsight that's probably not so wise.
Mostly, I think you're safe. You do need to know what you're doing to "find" someone. However, it doesn't take a lot of knowledge, so I'd agree, don't come out if you think there's any risk with your new employer. TB

Actually, you'd given enough clues too (which I'm sure you are quite aware of) for me to work out who you were, which I did sometime last autumn. I know it was rude of me and I apologise.
The Sage is a realist and takes me (or cash) with him when he shops where he isn't known.
Hi, oh well done! Yes, my blog is only semi anonymous. My employers know I blog, but I've been asked to keep myself discrete. I'd be very curious to know which details you used to find me though. TB

Nothing you mentioned in an email you sent a while ago, because that would have been awfully impolite, though I confess that that information suggested that I'd got the right Boy. I'll look in your archives and see if I can find it and email you, because if you didn't do it intentionally it wouldn't be fair to put it down here.
I'd appreciate that. I know I let out enough dribs and drabs that someone could figure me out, but I try to not do it too much. TB
