When the children have grown up, you can do what you want. It's very liberating.
Blimey, Boy, I've just received a comment from you. What synchronicity!
I know, but what a pickle. When they grow up they aren't around all the time any more. You get more time to yourself, but at the price of less time with them. Such is life though, and a part of me is definately looking forward to it. TB

I thought of going to the Surrey County Show but discounted it for the same reason - I felt for the organisers. Instead I wnet for a pub lunch with the family and some friends and we sat and watched a film in the afternoon with our children running around our ankles.
Yeah, that's two years running they've had torential rain. Hope it doesn't put future shows at risk. TB

I love cleaning, so thank yourself lucky. That sounds like a great bank holiday!
As I've been ill the past few days, I've had a day in jammies lazing around. BLISS. But it gets tiresome, much better as a child.
Trust me, cleaning out an old trunk that had become a mouse nest is NOT FUN. I stank of mouse manure. Staying in my PJs to watch a movie would have been bliss... TB

Oh! You missed your chance! You were supposed to be in your PJs with the kids!
But... but... there's so much to do! There's never time to just sit. TB

Next time, on with the PJs. What will give the children - and you - the best memories? You smelling of mouse or taking half a day* out to be childish with them?
*You'll still have all those meals to cook.
