I believe the game downloads industry has grabbed a hold of this concept. Graphics does matter. Game play does matter, but more. When a consumer shells out $49.99 for WoW, he/she is getting every pennies worth from the game. The visuals are stunning and the gameplay is continuingly exciting.
When a person downloads a "casual" game. They already expect the graphics to not up up to par with the likes of WoW. But what draws them in and keeps them playing is simple addictive game play.
