Brad
Thanks for your post. It seemed to dovetail nicely with my post on Spurgeon's exhortation to live an industrious life. Spurgeon believed it to be sign of genuine saving faith.

I have a tough time recognizing God's presence in my life on a day-to-day basis. I have those "mountaintop experiences" where I feel God among me but they never seem to last. What do you recommend so I can feel God's presence in my life everyday?

Carter,
I am seeking the answer to this question myself. I was at this everyday experience level for a few years but seem to have lost it. I am looking at obtaining a higher level of conscious contact with God without having to be "inspired" meaning without strenuous contemplation/worship. My current thesis is that the path is small acts of death to ego. I will keep you posted.

I have found that when you sincerely desire the work of God in your life, He will lead you. He will allow you to attain heights of great achievement you would have never previously thought of or thought possible. My dearest problem is the often fierce opposition which Eistein spoke of which emanates forth from 'mediorce minds'. I hope this helps guides and inspires some.
