Brad,
Very thought-provoking. It certainly blows the current scheme of disciple making in a weekly meeting out of the water. Our community is learning to live life together daily. I gave some examples from one week in our family's life in a post called "A Week in the Life of the Church". I'm also planning to post a series on discipleship soon. Your post has helped me continue thinking through some of these things.

Good for you guys. Wish I knew of something similar in my neighborhood. In the late 70's I was in a Christian community similar to this and my friends and family were sure I was in a cult - mostly because I was out of the mainstream of Protestant worship (Sunday and maybe Wed. night and you're good to go) and because there was such a rapid change in my life. My guess is you get a little of that too. But hey, isn't that what we want? We want to get out of the mainstream because the mainstream is not always in line with God's stream; and rapid change is great too if you were doing it all wrong before.

When I first became a Christian, I was in a similar growth phase and was around great people. Over the last 10 years something happened and it apprears to me now that I have been asleep. The level of compromise I have made with the scriptures is stunning. I am getting clear minded again. That is how I see it.
