Thanks for this post Brad! God's been showing me all kinds of stuff about his grace in the last 6 months that have been setting me free from a whole heap of legalism. Which was great, until I read some religious/legalistic stuff that was *so* confident in what they were saying that I started 2nd-guessing grace and my standing with God on the basis of Christ.

The MBC things have ebbed and flowed. I have been part of groups that are intimate and working a method of spirituality that really works. These groups have tended to be small and I have learned that larger mainstream churches are not willing. Currently, we are doing a monastic sub-culture within an existing church and are just starting again.
