I don't like this war either, but have talked to plenty who are for it. I don't know if they know why, but they know that it is the right thing to do
I listened to a soldier tell what it was like over there today. He was home on leave and on his way back to Iraq next week. He mimicked superiors and politicians who still want to justify going over there in the first place. The people in the meeting were unfair in asking him questions he should not have responded to, and he made feeble attempts at it anyway. I guess he did what he was trained to do. I agree that now we have people there we need to do the right thing. I just don't see a good way to save face from a global perspective.
