I'm fairly inexperienced with blogging myself. I stumbled on Watchblog, purely by accident, but liked the forum for debate. That led me to Lisa, which led me to you. So, for some it just takes time and networking.

As for myself, I completely understand the writing = sanity connection. I am nowhere near technically adept enough to have my own blog (plus I'm assuming it takes a significant monthly investment that I cannot afford, well, at least significant to me), but I do write fiction and have stuck with it for that reason. I wish you luck and will try to do my part in supporting the smaller blogs.
